Anyone had already watched 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button'?

Kinda of lengthy and fictionous to me..........
But there was a phrase that really caught my attention....

One of the new tenant mentioned >>>>
'You need to learn to lose someone.... in order to miss them'

Why human beings need to lose someone before they learn to appreciate, cherish and miss them?

Why can't beings just cherish every moment of being together instead when they are still able to?

Is this the way how god created human beings and injected such complicated feelings into them?
